Studying for your MBA online means that you have all the advantages of progressing in your job while you are bettering your qualifications. Studying can mean that you need to take time out of your career. If you are going to do it full time, you may find that a year or more not working can give you problems of falling behind in your career.
Studying online allows you to keep abreast of all you need to know about your job. You can also have the added advantage of using what you learn from your MBA in your present job, and using real live situations to test out how to apply your new knowledge.
I'm always interested in what jobs are popular, and how people work out their career paths. I happened yesterday to look at some of the websites that deal with careers for people with MBAs, and was very impressed at some of the companies that particularly target their job advertising for this group of people.
There are specialist recruitment agencies that deal only with MBA graduates, and there's certainly no lack of jobs posted on these websites. I don't know how current the jobs are, but there is quite an array of different opportunities with some really divergent career paths. However I was also quite impressed to see the number of corporations that encourage MBA graduates to apply for jobs. I saw Microsoft and several oil companies, as well as many of the financial institutions who were looking for MBA graduates.
