Group work is one of the major strengths of most MBA programs. Because working in business almost always means that you are working with teams, it makes sense to design a program of study about working with business to include major features. Students sometimes complain because an assignment involving group work means that everyone in the group is assigned an identical grade no matter what their contribution to the project was. However, this is an incentive to learn how to maximize the work of the group.
Doing group work on an online MBA is a little harder to organise, but in essence is the same as on a traditional MBA. It consists of planning, assigning tasks and monitoring performance, all activities that can be done online. In fact working online makes the documentation part of group work much easier.
