Nothing directly to do with an online MBA today, other than the person that I had the conversation teaches on an MBA program. We were discussing the difference that higher education makes to people who study, and how they lived their lives.
We both agreed that higher education usually helped to give people a perspective of life that allowed them to understand other points of view than their own, and this really changed how they argued, how they treated other people and how they viewed the world. Maybe it's good to get a balanced education, because it seems like the extremes could be bad. Some people who don't have any education haven't had the chance to explore new ideas, but sometimes people with tons of education have closed minds because they think they've learned everything. I think people who educate themselves with the right attitude learn enough that they know they don't know everything.
