A Patriotic MBA

If you don't have an MBA, next year is a good year to start to study an online MBA. The economy is beginning to stir again, and prospects are looking good for the new year. America is beginning to see the benefits of working as a knowledge economy, but we need to keep ahead of the game as the Asian economies, and in particular China, are encroaching on many of our traditional markets.

We need to be able to work as flexibly as possible, and education is the key to this kind of labor flexibility. By gaining an advanced qualification such as an MBA you are not only improving your personal prospects, you are also adding to the value of the nation's economy.

Family Benefits

MBAs may make your family healthier! Some research done in New Zealand by Massey University shows that the families of MBA graduates tend to be better educated, and less health problems, than families of high school graduates or even of people with Bachelor degrees.

So gaining an MBA is not only a way of building a more satisfying and rewarding career for yourself, it can have real benefits for your family as well.

Online Preparations

Well, Christmas Day is finished, and no doubt you will be considering the shopping possibilities. Actually this year I've decided not to go shopping, but to spend time before the New Year tidying up my life, including home, work and study.

This is particularly important if you are studying a complex program such as an online MBA, as you have to have a certain amount of awareness of the different courses of the program. So why not read over last year's work, make notes of the areas that you need to revise or work on further, and refresh your knowledge of what you have covered this year. It's a good way of preparing for a successful new year's work.
