Staying Relevant with an Online MBA

An article in a recent issue of Business Week revealed that, despite the predictions of many experts, jobs declined in the first month of 2005. While no one can predict job security, one easy way to ensure you're always employable is to enter an online MBA program.

The most obvious benefit a working professional gets from pursuing an online MBA degree is not joining the legions of Americans who are currently unemployed in order to do it.

In today's job market, having an advanced degree from an accredited online MBA program does much more than opening doors to previously unattainable positions in management. In addition, pursuing an online MBA degree offers students a greater understanding of business, analysis skills, solid managerial and strategic planning skills, and the flexibility to maneuver across broader responsibilities.

If you're looking for a way to remain relevant in today's tough business environment, an online MBA program can help you realize your goals.

Long, Tall Salary

No one can argue that higher education equates to a higher salary, but distance learning MBA programs can boost in your income too. High school dropout between the ages of 35 and 44 can expect a salary hovering in the $22,000 a year range. That same age group can earn a salary just under $50,000 a year with a bachelor's degree. Look at the average salary of someone in that age group with a distance learning MBA degree and you'll see an extra $10,000 added to the bottom line.

Entering a traditional campus-based MBA program usually requires quitting your existing job. With distance learning MBA programs, quitting your current job is unnecessary. Most distance learning MBA programs have flexible schedules that allow you to work as much or as little as you need to in order to make ends meet.

If quitting your job to pursue your educational dreams isn't possible, look into the benefits of a distance learning MBA from an accredited program.
