A management MBA is a requirement for many occupations, but for some it's just another feather in their cap. Many famous businessmen, such as Lou Gerstner and Michael Bloomberg, hold management MBAs. Perhaps the most famous management MBA holder is George W. Bush, the current U.S. president, who graduated from Harvard's management MBA program in 1975. Some might argue that the most famous management MBA holder is the single guy from ABC's The Bachelor a few seasons ago. The truth is that just about anyone who has the focus and determination to get a management MBA deserves some level of fame.
Of course, fame shouldn't be a priority for anyone pursuing a management MBA degree. A determination to succeed, a willingness to learn, and a reasonable understanding of the sacrifices that you'll have to make are good places to start. Possibly the most important thing you can bring to the table when pursuing a management MBA is experience. Perhaps this is the reason why modern management MBA programs encourage continued employment throughout your enrollment?
When you're ready to get your management MBA, don't forget to explore programs that will allow you to keep your current job, such as distance learning and online management MBA programs.
